The matchday 4 of France’s Ligue 1 ended with five wins and four draws, with Paris-Saint-Germain smashed Olympic Lyonnais 4-1 Sunday at the Groupama Stadium, in Lyon.
The Paris-Saint-Germain was the big winner of the matchday 4 of the Ligue 1 in France since they moved up to the second position behind Monaco after their huge demonstration of strength (4 – 0) Sunday, at Lyon.
As since the season started, Paris displayed a tantalizing play with a lot of activities with and without the ball. And Lyon began paying the price from the fourth minute with a penalty conceded after a missed tackle inside the square. Three more goals were coming only in the first half-time from Hakimi (20’), Marco Asensio (38’) and Mbapé (45’ + 2) already scorer on penalty.
No other teams won out of their base as Monaco defeated Lens 3-0 at the Stade Louis II, on Saturday. Le Havre won Lorient with the same score at the Stade Océane, Nice got the three points from their fight against Strasbourg 2-0 at Alliance Rivera while Lille beat Montpelier 1-0 at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Sunday.
The score of the draws between Toulouse and Clermont Foot and Metz and Reims is 2-2. Fewer goals were scored in Nantes v. Marseille 1 -1 , on Friday, at the Stade-dela-Beaujoire – Louis Fonteneau. It was a blank score (0 – 0) between Brest and Rennes at the Stade Francis – Le Blé.
After matchday 4, Monaco remains the leader of the Ligue 1 with 10 points ahead of Paris-Saint-Germain which took over Marseille in the second spot with 8 points. Reims, Lille and Brest are respectively fourth, fifth and sixth with 7 points.
The next matchday is schedule on September 17, 2023 just after the FIFA international break (4 – 12 September). Paris-Saint-Germain will host Nice, Marseille v. Toulouse, Rennes v. LOSC, Reims v. Brest, Strasbourg v. Montpellier. Metz has to travel to Lens, Le Havre to Lyon, Monaco to Lorient and Nantes to Clermont.
